Aqua is an 82-story mixed-use residential skyscraper in the Lakeshore East development in downtown Chicago, Illinois.[5] Designed by a team led by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects, the building is the tallest in the world to have a woman as lead architect, at 859 ft (262 m). [1]
We can here compare thermographic and traditionnal photographic view of the building. thermography is here used to enlight thermal bridge of balcony's structure.
Thermography have here an importance because it was a green spirit in the project like described in GreenSource magazine.
Biomimetism was one source of inspiration too as the designed is inspired by some rocky coasts of the Great Lakes and the erosion due to water.
